I decided to build a game table for the play room in the basement. I'm pretty happy with how it came out. Here are a few pictures of the table at various stages of the process
Here are the oak apron pieces with box joints cut. Tricky to use my jig with pieces that long.
The felted table surface will be recessed. I made a 3/4" groove to receive the plywood. There are also grooves for pull out shelves and removable cup holders. This was time consuming and I actually burned through a few router bits removing all that material.
I needed to borrow some clamps to have enough for the big glueup of the apron.
I made a bunch of pull out shelves for under the table. These were the biggest time sink on the project.

A nice feature of this table is the removable top. Here it is unstained and unfinished.
